What the letter has to do
One test, and everything else follows from it.
Swap in a different candidate, or a different job ad, and the letter must break. If it would still make sense, it is generic and it has failed. So every letter has to carry at least one fact that could only come from your resume - an employer, a scale, a number, a tool, a situation you handled - and at least one detail that could only come from this posting. Praising a company's “mission” or “innovative culture” does not count, because every applicant can write it.
The first paragraph opens on something you have done, never on how interested you are. The second is the evidence: what changed because of the work, not what the duties were. The third names one concrete thing from the ad you are placed to take on, and closes on something real - what you could pick up first, when you are available - rather than on looking forward to hearing from anybody.
And nothing is invented. No skill, employer, title, certification or responsibility your resume does not evidence, and no metric that is not in it. If your resume carries no numbers, the letter describes scope honestly instead of inventing precision. That rule is why we ask for the file rather than a form: the document is the source of truth.

What do I have to give it?
Your resume as a file, and the text of the job ad. That is the whole form. The role, the company and your name are read out of those two documents, so there is nothing else to type.
Does it invent things about me?
No, and that is the rule the prompt is built around. The letter may only use what your resume evidences: no skill, employer, title, certification or number that is not in the file you uploaded, and no claim that you have used the company's product or followed them for years.
How long is the letter?
Three paragraphs, 180 to 220 words - the length a recruiter actually reads. It opens on something you have done rather than on how interested you are, and it names something specific from the posting.
Will it write in my language?
It writes in the language of the two documents you give it, greeting and sign-off included. A German resume answering a German posting produces a German letter, not a half-translated one.
Do you keep my resume?
Yes. The letter's page can hand it straight into the resume builder in one click, which only works if we still have it. Nothing expires on a timer.
