1. Accepting these terms

These terms apply when you use ApplyMate (apply-mate.com), its free tools, the resume builder and the Chrome extension. By using ApplyMate, creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. The service

ApplyMate helps you apply for jobs. It includes:

  • Free tools, such as the ATS resume checker, the job description keyword finder, the LinkedIn profile checker, the cover letter generator and the Europass CV generator. Some have daily limits.
  • Tailored resumes: you give us your resume and a job ad, and we rewrite your resume for that role. Each one uses one credit and comes with a matching cover letter.
  • LinkedIn profile fixes: a one-time purchase with rewrites for the sections of your LinkedIn profile our checker marked down.
  • A Chrome extension that copies a job ad from a job board into ApplyMate.

We may add, change or remove features over time.

3. Your account

You sign up and sign in with Google, LinkedIn or a one-time code we email to your address. If you buy without an account, we create one for the email address you give at checkout and email you a link to sign in.

You must be at least 18 to use ApplyMate. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: you're responsible for what happens under your account.

4. Payments

4.1 Prices

Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. The price of the LinkedIn profile fixes depends on the country we detect from your IP address, so it's lower in some countries. Sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout. We may change our prices, but a change never affects something you've already bought.

4.2 Payment processing

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record: it's the seller on your receipt and handles payment and sales tax. By paying, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms.

4.3 Credits

Credits are a one-time purchase, not a subscription. One credit makes one tailored resume and its matching cover letter. Credits never expire, can't be moved to another account and have no cash value.

4.4 Refunds

If a resume fails to generate, the credit it used goes back to your balance automatically. Everything we sell is digital and delivered straight away, so a purchase is otherwise final once it's delivered. If something went wrong with a purchase, email us and we'll look into it; any other refund is at our discretion. When an order is refunded, its credits come off your balance, or the LinkedIn profile fixes are locked again.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.

5. AI-generated content

Resumes, cover letters, reports and LinkedIn rewrites are written by AI models from the information you give us. We check what they write against your own resume, but AI can still make mistakes: a wrong date, a skill you don't have, an awkward sentence. Read every document before you send it. You're responsible for what you send to employers.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use ApplyMate for anything illegal, or to give an employer information you know is false
  • upload content you don't have the right to use, such as someone else's resume without their permission
  • check a LinkedIn profile that isn't yours, unless its owner has asked you to
  • try to get into our systems or other people's accounts without permission
  • use bots, scripts or scrapers to access the service (our own Chrome extension is fine)
  • resell the service, your credits or our reports as a service of your own

7. Your content and ours

Your resume stays yours, and so do the documents we make for you. You can use, edit, send and publish them however you like.

To provide the service, you give us permission to store, process and change what you upload, as described in our Privacy Policy, and to use it in aggregate to improve how our tools read resumes.

The ApplyMate website, software, templates and brand belong to us.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL GET INTERVIEWS, JOB OFFERS OR ANY OTHER RESULT FROM USING IT, OR THAT ANY APPLICANT TRACKING SYSTEM WILL SCORE YOUR RESUME IN A PARTICULAR WAY.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPLYMATE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that can't be excluded or limited by law.

10. Ending your use

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using ApplyMate at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing contact.applymate@gmail.com.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the new version applies from that date. A change never applies to something you bought before it.
